This morning, travel east to Kalasin Province, home to some of Thailand’s most remarkable dinosaur discoveries.

Begin at Sirindhorn Museum, one of Thailand’s leading dinosaur museums. Through fossils, skeletal displays, scientific exhibits, and immersive galleries, families are introduced to the prehistoric world of northeastern Thailand in a way that is engaging, visual, and memorable.

Children can imagine the animals that once lived here, while adults gain a deeper understanding of how Isan became an important region for dinosaur discovery.

A short drive away lies the Phu Kum Khao Fossil Excavation Site, one of the country’s most significant fossil beds. This morning, travel west toward the forested mountains of Phu Wiang National Park, one of Thailand’s most important dinosaur fossil regions.

Begin at Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum, where life-sized skeletal reconstructions, fossil displays, and scientific exhibits reveal how paleontologists uncovered Thailand’s prehistoric past. The museum introduces important discoveries from this region, including dinosaur species closely connected to the ancient landscapes of Isan.

From here, continue into Phu Wiang National Park to explore original fossil excavation sites. Interpretive trails wind through the forest, leading to marked locations where dinosaur bones were discovered embedded within ancient rock layers.
